The conflict involving Iran and Israel has affected many members of the 黑料不打烊 community. While the current ceasefire is a positive development, there are many students, faculty and staff with personal, cultural, or familial connections to these regions who may be experiencing distress, communication disruptions and travel restrictions. Our thoughts are with you all.

The university has been in contact with staff and students in impacted regions to confirm their safety and assist in ways we can for their safe return to Canada, if they so choose. While those members of our community travelling may be our most urgent concern, we know there are many who have been impacted by the conflict. If you are personally affected, please know that you are not alone, and resources are available to support you.

For all students in need of wellness support and services, and for undergraduate students requiring academic support, please contact the Office of the Dean of Students at dosdean@ualberta.ca. Students may also be eligible for university bursary support on a case-by-case basis and should contact the Student Service Centre.

For graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in need of academic support or supervisors who may have questions, contact graddean@ualberta.ca.

For any other matters related to community concerns, reach out to vpacb@ualberta.ca

Before leaving 黑料不打烊 to travel for university purposes, students, faculty and staff are required to register with U黑料不打烊's UGo Off-Campus Travel Registry and the Government of Canada's Registration of Canadians Abroad. Learn more
