Critical maintenance

Critical maintenance is when a problem will jeopardize someone’s safety, cause further damage or loss to university property or will significantly disrupt university activity.

Critical maintenance will either require immediate attention or be addressed within 24 hours of being reported. Often a temporary fix will be made to prevent further damage until a full repair can be done. Large scale emergencies such as fire, gas leaks, broken water lines and loss of utilities will take priority over critical maintenance.

Immediately contact the Residence Services office or your RA on shift before submitting the maintenance request online. After hours, contact Campus Control Centre at 780-492-4833.
