Feeling under the weather or due for a check-up? Our physicians and nurses at the University Health Centre are ready to support you throughout your health care journey.

As part of the U of A community, we welcome:

• Students
• Employees (including staff and faculty)
• Family members of students (including spouses and children under 18)

The University Health Centre can serve as your primary health care provider during your time at the U of A. We are here to address your health concerns and answer any questions you may have.

Accessing the Clinic

The University Health Centre strives to provide comprehensive and continuous care to patients during their time at the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. Whenever possible we encourage you to follow up with your primary care provider (family physician). Please book using one of the following links:

No show policy

We understand that you may need to cancel an appointment occasionally. In such circumstances, please contact us no less than 4 hours notice for a same-day appointment, 24 hours for a pre-booked appointment with a family physician, or 48 hours with a specialist. You may do so by calling 780-492-2612, emailing hws@ualberta.ca, or cancelling through your Ocean appointment booking notification.

New patients

We are always welcoming new staff and students to access the various services provided at the UHC. We ask a few simple demographic questions at registration to ensure we can provide the most complete care possible.

Before your visit

• Bring your OneCard and your personal health care card (e.g. AHCIP, provincial health care, UAHIP)
  • The OneCard is useful for a variety of different services on campus and is essential for accessing services at the Health Centre.
• Know your current/correct personal information, including address and phone number.
  • There may be times we need to contact you with health information. We ask that you keep us informed of any changes in your contact information.
